iTom: Free Music From Tom Smith

Music in every style -- except dull. Tom Smith, the World's Fastest Filker and the prototypical geek folk-rocker, releases new music for free download on a regular basis. (It was a song a week for almost a year.) You can subscribe to the RSS feed, purchase a better-quality MP3 of the song, or purchase three months' worth as a downloadable album.

A Very Special "Talk Like A Pirate Day"

I am so sorry everything's taking so long. And I'm close to done with so much. Just... little things delay and add up. See, this is why I don't take pre-orders on albums until they're finished. I am not promising anything else to anybody unless it exists.

I do have something that exists, however. ;)

This was recorded last night at CapriCon in suburban Chicago. Slightly different than usual though: The Pirate Guys were there to sing it with me. THE Pirate Guys. John "Ol' Chumbucket" Baur, Mark "Cap'n Slappy" Summers. Not to mention the delectable Tori "Mad Sally" Baur.

Sang. It. With. Me.

Too. Freakin'. Cool. (Even though I blew a line -- with the "Aye! Arrr! 'Ay!" bit, I literally forgot to say, "Arrr!")

I hope to be able to link you to YouTube video up later this weekend.

Aye! It was great fun! I was one of those in the crowd -- wait till ye see the stage set they had! The only thing better is if they could have actually found that parrot...
